Annual Golf Tournament
River Oaks Dental is proud to support important community initiatives. Thanks to the generous contributions of our patients, RODO’s 2005 Annual Golf Tournament raised over $10, 000 to help fund Oakville’s Wellspring Cancer Support Centre. That’s not all! Our patients also supported Anna Volpe’s fund-raising campaign during “The Weekend to End Breast Cancer”. As well, both patients and staff supported the 2nd Annual Food Drive by donating over 1,000 non-perishable food items.

Annual Golf Tournament
Our annual golf tournament has raised over $25,000 for the Wellspring Cancer Support Center. This uniquely designed house, located north of ROD, is a center that has been created to provide emotional and psychological support to individuals and families living with cancer. This is a free service provided to the Oakville Community, we are proud to annually contribute funding to ensure cancer patients and their families have the support they need.

Annual Food Drive
Our second commitment is to our annual food drive. During the months of November and December we ask our patients and staff to bring in non-perishable food items for the ROD donation to the Oakville Food Bank. Our goal this year is to raise over 1000 items as our contribution.

TO HELP FIGHT BREAST CANCER
On September 10th–11th 2005, Anna Volpe will be participating in a very special event called “The Weekend to End Breast Cancer.” Anna will walk 60 kilometers over the course of one weekend with thousands of other women and men. The net proceeds will support breast cancer research, education, and services at Princess Margaret Hospital.
The objective is to raise at least $2,000.00 in donations. Many of us have known someone who has been touched by this disease. Your help is requested. Please consider making a donation to help them reach their target.
According to the National Cancer Institute of Canada, approximately 21,000 Canadian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year, and about 5,400 will die from the disease. We hope that you will share this incredible adventure with them by supporting Anna in her fundraising.
